Hello and welcome                                                                                                              to Birmingham's first website dedicated to the skateboarders and skate spots in an around Birmingham. Birmingham is a fantastic city with lots to offer, loads of great people and skate spots. Like most of the growing Cities around the world its getting harder and harder to skate in the very centres. Skate stops, knobbing, higher levels of police and security are all attributes to the “anti-skate” culture so many of the large corporations and councils are taking on board these days. Their wrong, its as simple as that! Skateboarding is a positive sport which encourages and inspires a whole generation. Not to mention a international multi-million pound business, employing thousands & thousands of people around the world and from all different backgrounds. If the City councils were doing their jobs right they would be trying to encourage the youth of today, helping & supporting them with facilities and faculties. Skate stopping every piece of urban architecture, step, handrail and ledge is just costing the city more and more money, repressing people and trying to control what they can’t. Instead of wasting all that money on a negative why don't they use it for a positive much needed injection of support to what the people of the city really want. A £50 fine and being told to sod off is not the answer. Why can't we skate in our own city? This is our city and we have the right to express ourselves as we wish!
